Vidhya Lakshmi Venkatarama is a highly skilled Software Engineer with over 6 years of experience in the tech industry. Currently working at Google, she is a part of the Internationalization team, where she focuses on improving the language experience for users. She holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Portland State University, where she specialized in machine learning and artificial intelligence. During her time at Portland State University, she worked on a research project in the area of deep convolution networks and feature detection. Vidhya has also worked as a Software Engineer at Oracle IDC, where she created reusable components for developers to build web applications. Her work involved regular maintenance, critical customer bug fixes, and developer community engagement. She has also worked as a Software Intern at Intel Corp, where she wrote test scripts for universal electronic stylus protocol and data analysis and feature extraction for online stylus user authentication. Aside from her professional experience, Vidhya has research experience in Computational Electrodynamics and Photonics, which mainly involved methods for evaluating fields through nanostructured photonic band gap material. She has graduated with a Master of Technology in Engineering Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, where she was awarded a gold medal for standing first in the same.
